This product is a collaboration with MAKINO URUSHI DESIGN, which continues to challenge new possibilities for lacquer. They are a group of craftsmen with the skills to restore Kinkaku-ji Temple, and who are creating new expressions of lacquer while working on the restoration of various traditional buildings such as shrines, temples, and Buddhist statues. This dining set is made by layering lacquer on top of aluminum foil, creating a deep green look. This heavy dining set expresses beautiful colors that no one has ever seen before, and is sure to make a statement in any interior, from modern to classic.
